CCTV

In society today there are many reasons that businesses choose to utilise CCTV as part of their security infrastructure.
CCTV is now widely used in many environments to improve business processes and procedures rather than just for security:
- Health and Safety in production and manufacturing
- Employee security in dangerous environments
- Retail traffic monitoring
- Public Health and safety
- Employee behaviour and activity monitoring
- Remote site monitoring
CCTV Technology
The advances in technology in the last 2 years have significantly reduced the cost of CCTV solutions and are becoming a more integrated part of everyday business life.
Unicom provide clients with a remote installation service for a one off fee. This even applies if you have purchased your CCTV system elsewhere.
To be able to view your CCTV camera’s online from any internet connected PC or via your Smartphone can be much harder to implement and physically get working. This is why Unicom have launched NETSET-GO, whereby customers are able to purchase a remote installation service from our team of engineers.
Once you have connected the cameras/DVR via your router simply purchase the NETSET-GO remote installation service from our website and you will be sent an information form and contact details for our online engineers.
Please call the number provided to book a convenient time for you to allow our support team to configure your CCTV system using our secure remote connection software.
You must have access to the computer that your cameras are connected to and have the details from the installation form at the time and date of your chosen installation appointment.

Remote Support and Installation – How it works
Our service employs end-to-end, 256-bit SSL encryption – the same security levels used and trusted by major banking institutions.
- Unicom Corporate
The NETSET-GO Remote installation service is first authenticated to the technician (or rather, the technician’s web browser) with its 2048-bit premium RSA SSL certificate. This ensures that the technician’s connection is secure and they are required to enter their username/password. The technician is then logged in to the remote installation system with his credentials.
The install application is then authenticated to customers. An applet, downloaded and run by a customer is signed with a code signing certificate (based on a 1024-bit RSA key), and this information is displayed to customers by their web browser when about to run the software.
When a support session starts and a connection is established between customers and one of our technicians, the computers must agree on an encryption algorithm and a corresponding key to be used for the duration of the session.
Providing “Peace of Mind”
- Customers must permit a technician to use each remote function (Remote Control, Desktop View, File Transfer, System Information, and Reboot)
- Customers can choose to terminate the session at any time
- All traces of the Customer Applet disappear from the remote PC when the session is finished
The Technician Console
The image below is the online interface used by our technicians to conduct remote installation sessions. Technicians can initiate sessions or respond to online customer requests.
The Console provides remote technicians with:
- Desktop View and Remote Control, including Whiteboard
- Detailed Session History & Notes
- Chat Interface
- Detailed System Diagnostics
- Direct connection to the Customer via code or emailed link

Customer Applet view
With the customer’s permission, a small .exe file automatically downloads to the remote PC. It’s the interface through which technicians communicate with Customers and conduct remote installations and support. The applet automatically removes itself from the remote PC at session conclusion.
The applet provides customers with:
- Interactive Chat and detailed Session History
- Prompts to permit or deny technician access to all functions
- File Transfer to the technician
- Ability to stop Remote Control or disconnect at any time
